When I was younger I used to lay a place at the table for Jesus. I also used to write him poems and letters. I was told He was the best friend I could ever have and I chose to believe it.

I see you. I see your heavy, weary heart. I see you. I too have known that cloak of depression; how it weighs down every part of you. How the hood slides over your eyes and affects your view so that everything seems dark, heavy, hopeless. 

Every single one of us is born in this state. For thousands of years, it has been agreed across most cultures that virginity equals purity, and therefore it is the ideal state to be in when uniting with ‘The One’ after the act of marriage.

Have you ever had that thought process where you wonder who you are, why you are here and what makes you, you? I remember when I first considered these things and I also remember the feeling that my head was going to explode.
